When I was driving home after OT this week, I started coughing as I was having an itchy cough spell, and its the kind that you can’t stop coughing until your phelgm comes out.
Anyway, Zack was sitting beside me, and he said, “Mummy, why are you coughing?”. I couldn’t reply him because I was coughing still, but the sympathetic reply startled me, and I was very touched amidst the coughing. Before I could answer, he said, “Are you sick?”. When I gathered myself together, I said, “Yes, Zack. I’m sick. Thank you for asking”.
I feel like Zack has grown up so much.
Zach has indeed improved. He is considerate and always have a thought for others. Yesterday, he asked grandma for a drink and selected Yakult. He also said, “Can I have one for Sophie?” Sophie is his sis and is not in the house at that moment of time. Grandma was delighted and told him “Yes, you can. I will give it to you when you go home.” When Zach is sad, he requires a lot of emotional input from those who care for him. This, in my view, is a balance between from what he gives and what he expects from those that care for him. This concept is applicable to every growing child.
